Rock The Foundation Casino Night

The Greater Killeen Young Professionals will host our 3rd Annual Rock The Foundation fundraising event with the proceeds benefiting the Friends of A & M – Central Texas’ scholarship fund.

R.T.F. is an annual benefit event hosted by the Greater Killeen Young Professionals. Since 2010 the GKYP has raised over $20,000 which has been donated to the scholarship fund. These young professionals, or YP’s, are the up-and-coming business leaders of tomorrow, eager to participate in the decisions made for our community’s future.

This year’s event will be a Casino Night. It will be hosted at the Killeen Civic & Conference Center in Ballrooms A & B. It will feature:

10 Blackjack Tables
Craps Table
Roulette Table
Texas Hold’em Tables
Let it Ride table
16 Authentic Las Vegas slot machines with slot monitors

The event will be held from 8:00 PM to Midnight on Friday February 24^th, 2012. Appetizers will be provided for those who attend and there will be a cash bar. Tickets can be purchased at the Greater Killeen Chamber of Commerce, or on line through the link below.

Our speaker for our February business luncheon will be George Grammas of Second Chance Animal Shelter. Mr. Grammas, the Volunteer President of the Centex Humane Society, will talk about how Second Chance serves the community, the challenges the shelter face, and volunteer opportunties.

December’s Business Lunch

The speaker for our December business luncheon will be Marlene DiLillo, Executive Director of the Greater Killeen Free Clinic. The mission of the Greater Killeen Free Clinic is to use its available resources to provide acute health care to children and adults who are unserved, underserved, or have no access to health care. She will be discussing the services the Free Clinic provides, and challenges facing the clinic in the future.
