Rock the Foundation

The Greater Killeen Young Professionals will hold our second annual benefit concert called “Rock the Foundation” that will raise money for scholarships for Texas A&M Central Texas on January 29th, 2011.

Recent enrollment figures showed that 55% of enrolled students were taking classes at Ft. Hood.  Therefore, scholarship funds raised will not only help a student receive a higher education and grow the university; it will more than likely help a soldier or a soldier’s family.

Dr. Nigliazo, President of TAMU-CT, had this to say:

“I want to express my sincere appreciation for the unprecedented commitment being made by the Greater Killeen Young Professionals to raise funds for scholarships at TAMUCT.  Through the efforts of this group of young leaders, many students will fulfill their dreams of completing a baccalaureate or master’s degree, and they will be inspired in their studies by knowing there are those in our communities willing to invest in and encourage their future success.  The scholarship support provided by GKYP unquestionably contributes to the growth and development of both the University and the Central Texas region.”
