About Us

The Greater Killeen Young Professionals was formed in November of 2008 to provide an opportunity for the Young Professionals (those aged 25-40) to form the relationships that are necessary to grow their business, to come together and learn and expand on the skills necessary to be a successful professional, and to be a voice to help make the greater Killeen area a magnet for successful young professionals.

We strive to help make Killeen a much more attractive place for Y.P.’s to live, work and play. In order to accomplish a goal of this magnitude we need each and every Y.P. we can get to be active in the group and in this community.

We all have a desire to help improve the lives of our friends and neighbors through community and environmental volunteer work. By utilizing our members to aid in community clean ups, recycling efforts, and helping out organizations such as Habitat For Humanity and Peaceable Kingdom Retreat, our members will have the opportunity to be an active participant in making our community a better place to live.

What’s a “young professional”? Well, there isn’t an exact definition. While the groups focus is directed at professionals aged 25 to 40, we have quite a few members who are a little “wiser”. We welcome the wealth of knowledge and experience any professional who is “young at heart” has to offer. Just keep in mind that the events normally provide a much more casual “laid back” environment than traditional networking groups.
